Our 1st Ever Holiday Bazaar ☃️

Written by Artisan | Nov 15, 2016 5:00:00 PM

You're invited to our first ever “Holiday Bazaar” this December!

Artisan Talent and General Assembly Chicago are proud to announce the first ever “Holiday Bazaar” featuring local artisans on December 1, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. This holiday themed shopping event will be supporting local Chicago artists and designers.

What To Expect

Attendees will be treated to a winter themed coloring station, gift-wrapping services and holiday hiring help, along with drinks and snacks as they shop for jewelry, baked goods, accessories, home décor, art, zines, prints, bath products, and more from over 45 specially selected artisans, designers, and makers with ties to the Chicago design community and Artisan.

Our CEO Bejan Douraghy says:

We wanted a chance to show how Artisan is inspiring better lives by supporting the talent and clients we represent every day. In addition, we feel making charitable contributions to our community at this time of year is especially important. We will be donating all money from the door to charity.

There is no cost to any of the talent for selling their goods and they will be encouraged to donate a portion of their proceeds at the end of the evening to charity.

The event is free to attend. A $5 suggested donation at the door will be given to The Ounce of Prevention Fund: “Giving children in poverty the best chance for success.” Artisan Talent will be matching the dollar amount donated.

About The Ounce Of Prevention Fund

Since 1982, the Ounce of Prevention Fund has persistently pursued a single goal: that all American children—particularly those born into poverty—have quality early childhood experiences in the crucial first five years of life. Their work is anchored in a growing body of scientific evidence about early brain development. They use private dollars to apply that science in developing innovative programs, and then leverage public funding to support implementation and replication.
