  • When during the day is someone likely to use this, and what headspace are they in?
  • What else is competing for their attention at that exact moment?
  • How does the experience need to evolve for a year-one user versus someone who signed up last week?
  • What would make someone more invested over time, and are we intentionally building that in?
  • Where are the moments that could genuinely delight someone?
  • How does a user tell a friend about this, and does the product make that feel natural?
  • What happens when something goes wrong, and the user of the product needs help?
  • If part of the experience happens offline, what does that feel like?
  • Does the product feel fast and responsive (even if it technically is)?

That last one is easy to overlook, but perception matters as much as reality when it comes to how people experience a product.

A Great Product Designer Makes the Whole Team Better

Companies like Airbnb, Spotify, and Stripe didn't build cult followings purely on features. Strong design, the kind that's deeply tied to how a product feels, flows, and earns trust, played a central role in their growth. Rashiga S. explains it plainly: design is no longer just about aesthetics but, more importantly, a core business function.

In practice, a Product Designer helps teams launch intuitive features more efficiently, reduces unnecessary development work by catching problems before they get coded, and keeps the product grounded in how users actually behave.
