Why freelance - you want to be a freelancer? Working for yourself, setting your own schedule, and “being your own boss” can have its perks. The allure is so great that according to [The Freelancers Union](https://www.freelancersunion.org/about/) roughly 1 in 3 Americans is an independent worker and by 2020 [Forbes ](http://www.forbes.com/sites/michakaufman/2014/02/28/five-reasons-half-of-you-will-be-freelancers-in-2020/)estimates that 50% of the labor force will be too. But freelancing can also have its drawbacks....how do you get paid? What about taxes? Luckily, you don’t have to go it totally alone. Working with a digital and creative staffing agency[ like Artisan Talent](http://artisantalent.com/about-artisan/) can give you some of the support back that [freelancers find missing](http://speckyboy.com/2015/02/09/working-freelance-really-worth/) when they give up the traditional 9-5 job. ## Check out our slide show to see what you're missing if you're NOT freelancing through an agency. ** [Why You Should Freelance Through an Agency | Artisan Talent](https://www.slideshare.net/ArtisanTalent/why-you-should-freelance-through-an-agency-artisan-talent) ** from **[Artisan Talent](https://www.slideshare.net/ArtisanTalent)** Click here to download the PDF: [Why You Should Freelance Through an Agency ](http://artisantalent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Why-You-Should-Freelance-Through-an-Agency-Artisan-Talent.pdf)or check out the presentation on [Slideshare here. ](http://bit.ly/1H4Keak) [![Freelancing with a staffing agency](https://creative.artisantalent.com/hs-fs/file-4158526798-png/blog-files/screen-shot-2015-10-26-at-11.56.28-am.png?width=772&height=554&name=screen-shot-2015-10-26-at-11.56.28-am.png)](https://creative.artisantalent.com/hs-fs/file-4158526798-png/blog-files/screen-shot-2015-10-26-at-11.56.28-am.png) ### Check out our Other SlideShows: [5 Crazy Creative Ways to Get the Job](http://artisantalent.com/crazy-creative-slideshow/) [Make Your Presentation Pop](http://artisantalent.com/presentation-wow/) ### Other Posts You Might Like ![5_Things_a_Web_Designer_Should_Never_Do.jpg](https://creative.artisantalent.com/hs-fs/hubfs/blog-files/5_Things_a_Web_Designer_Should_Never_Do.jpg?width=436&height=255&name=5_Things_a_Web_Designer_Should_Never_Do.jpg) ### [5 Things a Web Designer Shouldn't Do](https://creative.artisantalent.com/5-things-every-web-designer-shouldn-t-do-for-their-clients/) Posted by [Artisan](https://creative.artisantalent.com/author/artisan) There are a lot of things that you can do to get work as a Graphic Designer or Web Designer ... ![How_to_Hire_a_Freelance_Copywriter_in_Chicago.jpeg](https://creative.artisantalent.com/hs-fs/hubfs/blog-files/How_to_Hire_a_Freelance_Copywriter_in_Chicago.jpeg?width=436&height=255&name=How_to_Hire_a_Freelance_Copywriter_in_Chicago.jpeg) ### [How To Hire a Freelance Copywriter in Chicago](https://creative.artisantalent.com/how-to-hire-a-freelance-copywriter-in-chicago) Posted by [Artisan](https://creative.artisantalent.com/author/artisan) Decided you need some help with words for your website, social media, or newest marketing ... ![](https://creative.artisantalent.com/hs-fs/file-4137396657-jpg/blog-files/why-freelance-through-an-agency-artisan-talent-1024x614.jpg?width=436&height=255&name=why-freelance-through-an-agency-artisan-talent-1024x614.jpg) ### [Why Freelance Through an Agency?](https://creative.artisantalent.com/be-smart-freelancers/) Posted by [Artisan](https://creative.artisantalent.com/author/artisan) Why Use a Staffing Agency as a Freelancer?
